Default noob question

why is the x2 3800 more expensive than the Intel Pentium D Dual Core 820 2.8GHz 2x1MB LGA 775 if the x2 clockspeed is lower, sorry i'm noob on new intels

performance i guess...according to some reviews that i read, the x2 3800+ crushes the pentium d 2.8 and 3.0

AMDs speeds do not compare to intels speed ratting. AMD's may be slower by simply clock speed but they are more efficent.

how much can you oc the x2 3800 to? 4200?
