Default Newbie questions

Well, come this summer I'm gonna get a jb and I wanna build a computer at that time. I've never done it before so I need some help with parts. I have a few already chosen and need some suggestions with others. I'm not even sure if they are all compatable. How can you tell anway? Anyway, here are the parts.

EDIT:Sorry, hit the send button by mistake

Case:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811145047

Harddrive:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144338

Processor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103535

DVD burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106014

CD burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106997

Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220

I'm not so sure about the graphics card. I think it should be fine for games like F.E.A.R, HL2, Doom3 and all that right? I would also like 2 GB of memory and am not sure which stick I should go for. And the motherbard, I dont know what to look for in a mother board. Also, any suggestions in a cooling system? I might overclock. What would be a good Powersource?

Yeah everything is set. You can go for any set of memory you want, always a good idea to make sure its supported by your motherboard (which I don't see!), if you're overclocking you should invest in sme better memory, i Believe G.skill is the popular brand around here. I prefer OCZ myself.

i say you go for a pci express motherboard so you can boot out that agp 6600gt... pci-e seems to be where its at in case you ever want to upgrade later it

if you ever wanna go sli..

you could also pitch in an extra 40 bucks on the graphics card and get a 6800 gs

If your not building it within the next 15 days don't even attempt to spec out the parts. By the time you're ready to build your parts will be low end.

Well I'm mainly doing this to get an idea of what I want and how much it'd cost. By the time I build it I probably will select different parts but from this I get an idea of what I want. I was thinking about getting a Zalman fan. About how many fans would I need?
