Hey dudes. its me again. this is going to be a looong post
. im very sorry dudes. i cant seem to get my new gaming build working. it was working fine for a while until WOW started freezing and i was getting HDD errors. you guys came to the conclusion that i might need a new
HDD. so i just bought a new WD caviar SE16 500GB HDD. any ways, this is what im going to do. turn off the PSU. unplug monitor and PSU from surge protector. hold down the power button to drain any extra juice out of my components. then, swap hard drives. easy enough. now, im going to download the drivers(via flash card, moms computer) that i need from the manufactures websites so that their all up to date. this is where i get in trouble. first, here are my computer components:
OS: Vista 32bit
CPU: Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80571E5200
MOBO: BIOSTAR TForce TP45HP LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
GPU: SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported
Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Now, im not sure how many of these drivers i need or want. what about the bios? what about the bios update? do i need the mobo hd sound driver if i have a sound card? and what order should i install all of this? When should i do the windows updates? when should i install the virus protection software i just bought? Arrrrrrrrggggggggggggg. Sorry about all the questions. I really want to learn all of this. Here is a list of all the drivers, bios and software i found from the manufactures. Sorry.
