Looking to update my current build, which probably means keep hard-drives and gtx 970 video card . would like to reduce tower size, currently have a cm scout.

would need:

cpu
mobo
psu
ram
case
windows 10
a new 4 GB wd green 5400 rpm

i've used intel for the past many many builds, but it seems they dont have the value/$ they used too?

wont overclock

want quiet

~$800 +/- budget, but no big deal for a little over

thanks

I assume this for gaming? That 970 video card is pretty old ( 5 years) with less than 4 GB of Ram. But at 1080P it should be OK - it was a beast in its day. Reducing the case size too much does possibly present heat issues - which may mean more case fans needed= more noise. A SSD/M2 drive will also reduce some heat. I will let PP - the build expert weigh in next on best CPU/etc for the money.

i dont really game too much anymore, some amount of streaming/video editing.

Total: $845.42
