Default new rig suggestions please

Ok I am building new gaming rig to run games like Age of Conan for instance. I have most everything picked out already. I want to run SLI (however ordering second card later on due to budget). Intel CPU. I guess the main thing I need suggestions for is the mobo, psu, ram, vid card and case combo. Will be using 64bit Vista. I plan on overclocking.

Everything found at newegg except for the Case

Mobo
Processor Combo deal $424

Power Supply$150

Ram $150

250gb HD $58

DVDR$29

Last but not least 1 (2nd coming later) 8800gts$200

Is everything compatible with each other?
Am I choosing my mobo/vid cards/psu right for SLI?
Does the case provide effecient air cooling for this kind of power?
850 watt too much or too little?

Suggestions on cutting back the prices and hardware recommendations please
Thanks!

Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H485F512P Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

with a X38/P45 board that performs like a 9800GTX and has a better overclocking potential

or an 8800gts g92 with a 780i FTW if you're set on nVidia

850w is overkill even with two 8800gts g92's, a Corsair 750tx is enough

Don't get that RAM, how about Patriot Viper 4gb instead

Also some stuff I missed...

You need a Xigmatek Rifle if you want to overclock a lot or a lot cheaper is the Rosewill RCX-z775

Get the 750tx from Buy.com

Don't get the Crossfire unless you're running 1920x1200 or higher

i changed the psu to the 750tx
changed the ram to the patriot viper
changed the MOBO to the 780i FTW

check my case.. it comes with a 120mm front and rear(it says optional) i believe, is that going to be enough? I love the look of it and its cheap. I like the large clear side area.

bah!!! i thought that the 4850 beat my 9800gtx on any board(just by a little)
but just a couple of hours a go i clocked my gtx at 825 core 2100 shader and 1260 mem- now can the 4850 really beat a overlclock like that?

I think I want to stick with the nvidia. I have only tried radeon so far so want to try somthing new. My pc now is very old agp 9800xt 256mb. Since i switched to the 780i ftw, I might as well go with the nvidia cards.

/agree

go with the 9800gtx+ if you want to pay $200 for an nvidia card

get a 750i FTW board and a OEM Q6600

Newegg.com - EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i FTW SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

EDIT: OHHH yea, if you haven't bought the OS yet...buy it from microcenter
Micro Center - Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit with SP1 System Builder Version
$80 vs $110 on newegg
