Default new rig suggestions?

I have been checking out computer components and I just want some input on the things I have chosen so far.

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Motherboard

Athlon 64 X2 3800

eVGA e-GeForce 6800 GS Video Card

Antec TruePower 2.0 TP-II 550 550W Power Supply

Probably 1gig (512x512) corsair RAM(not sure about the model).
Is there anything wrong adding a 1024 to the two 512's?

The rest I can probably figure out myself..
I was just wondering if there are any incompatible components.
This rig should be able to hold its own for now correct? Thanks for the help!

I have heard when using dual graphics cards on this mobo(which I probably wont do) they dont run at x16 but they run at x8. whats the point of SLI if that is cut in half?

Yea SLI is really just a big rip-off. There isn't enough performance increase by using to cards then there is a price increase. IMO, stay away from SLI for now, but in the future, games and software will be able to take full advantage of SLI, so then there's a reason to get it.

Yea you can keep the SLI mobo, so you're ready for when SLI is necessary, which is unpredictable, but at least you'll be ready!! And btw, DFI is the best mobo manufacturer, so it's good to stick with them.
