Default New Processor

Well since I got my new video card I just feel like I can get some more performance out of it with a new processor. These are the two im debating between.

I don't do alot of multi tasking although a dual core would be sweet. I just like the 1mb cache for the 4000+ So what will give my card overall best performance out of the two?? thanks!

I'd go for john3's suggestion. If not, definetly the X2 3800.

Does it matter with the slower clock speed will that make a differene. Would this kill the 4000+?

The Opteron has a lower clock speed than the X2 3800, yes. But it overclocks like mad. Many people get 2.8GHz on air, and with water cooling you can get even higher sometimes.

Oh yes, it will kill the 4000 .

Yeah its a lower clock speed but even an OC noob like you could get it WAY past the 4000+ Easily

Hey todays your lucky day and Il tell you how

Go into the bios and up the FSB to 280.

You now have sucsessfully Overclocked your processor past the 4000+ and now have enough money to buy other crap like pornos, Guns, C4, and ln2 to dump on your freind as a joke!
