Default New PC - where to buy UK

Hi, just found this forum and it looks great with loads of info and advice.

I want to get a new PC and was wandering what sites do people recommend in the UK.

I have had a look at ebuyer, Dell, Komplett.co.uk and Overclocker.co.uk

Last pc I bought was from Komplett.co.uk and a put it together myself. Now Komplett seem to be offering a build service: (Komplett Intel Gamer £575)

Komplett.co.uk

This is about my budget (£600). Is this Komplett sytem any good or can I do any better.

Appologies if the question is rather general, but I have only just started looking.

Thanks for any advice.

If you want to game, you dont want that PC. The graphics card is rather weak. I think you can do better than that, yes.

Where do you live?

Overclockers seem to have some good systems too:

Systems Ľ Gamer - Overclockers UK

Which are the better systems, Athlon or Intel?

Thanks.

The more important question here first is:

What's your budget and what do you want to do with it? after that...

Do you want to build again or buy it outright?

Yes it says that in the thread title i meant where in the UK. The OCUK systems are slightly better but I would really reccomend building it yourself.

^ His budget is £600 it says in the OP.

cclonline.com - PC Pro Online Retailer of the Year 2007

If you live in yorkshire then i would go to the actual shop and buy stuff from there. They are really good at RMAs and they have excellent support forums (employees regularly go there)

If you want a quiet PC, get the antec P182 case.

I want the pc for general home use and gaming.

My budget is kind of fluid - I kind of want to aim at a middle of the road system - ie really good performance without starting to pay over the odds for small increases in perfromance.
