So I built a new comp and finally got it up and running. I've had the parts for arround 3 weeks now but I got a bad motherboard and DVD drive which I had to RMA for replacements. the last pc I built was this one http://www.techist.com/forums/f76/new-computer-pics-56k-warning-132911/which is now under reconstruction. I will post pics of that later. I'm putting in 8 gigs of ram, q600, new side panel, new heat sink and fans.

but enough about that, here's the specs of my new rig:

Antec Twelve (With multicard/floppy reader + fan controller + all new case fans) $136 Shipped For all!

Asus p5q pro 139.99 Shipped

E8400 $120 Shipped AR

Xigmatek 1283 + retention bracket $45 shipped AR

G.skill ddr 800 $79.99 shipped

Gygabyte 4850 $150 Shipped AR

WD 640GB $85 shipped

Lite on DVD $26 shipped

Corsair 750tx $88 shipped

Vista x64 Ulitmate $0 (I... uhhh... got it from a friend)

Total 869.58 after rebates + shipping

Here's some pics for your enjoyment. I'll post some more when I move it to its permanent position. The graphics cards at 690/1063 and the cpu is stock for the moment (haven't had time to OC). I'm getting different CPU temps from the bios, core temp, real temp, and everest, so I don't know which to believe. Two of them say 32c idle and the other two say 37c. The cvore is on auto and fluctuates between 1.15 and 1.22.

nice lookin pc there Jumping bean. hide those wires in the bottom then post a few pics in the Rate The wiremanagement above you thread. have fun with it.

man that case is huger than i thought! great build, but im with surgevel just the mix of lighting. great chiocces on your components too.

Yeah, I'm not terribly fond of the lighting either. The case came with after market red fans and the stock 200mm fan is blue as well as the fan controller which also came with the case. Doesn't bother me that much though, in fact I'm warming up to it.
