new pc in JAN 08

Hey! well I wont have time to really use my computer until mid-January and I am looking to upgrade my CPU and GPU.

I have an ASUS P5B deluxe mobo.

I am wondering if I should grab an 8800GT at the first chance i have and do stepup for GTS G92, or should i just wait for the 8800GTS.

with the CPU, it's pretty much the same case. Q6600 now? or wait until mid Jan.

any recommendations? budget for GPU i'd say would be 300-450 or around there.
CPU will be around Q6600's price.

The new 8800GTS is already on the Egg... so you probably wouldn't have to wait long if that's what you want.
