250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache
1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200)
7900GT KO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

what you think? can you recommend me some other video card thats at the performance level of a 7900gt and is great at the price

stick to the 7900gt. try and upgrade your processor to an X2 3800+ as it will serve you well in the future, speaking of the future you may be interested in holding off for about 20 days to see how the launch of Intel's Conroe goes. that should probably be a far better buy.

i say u get a 7600GT and a 3800 X2 cuz the 7600GT will probably last u till dx10 when u should get a new one..

the performance cut from a 7900 to a 7600 is not worth it to get an x2 3800.
Stick with the 7900. You might be able to find a 7800GT on ebay or somewhere for a pretty good price, and its only a little behind in terms of power.
I would suggest getting a 3700 instead of the 3800, its a better CPU (im assuming you are referring to a s939 3800 venice core).
