Red face New Pc Build-conroe

Can someone please help me by telling me if these will fit together and if these are good components to get, if they are not please suggest a different item to get.

Also could someone please give me and links to any sites that have good latest guides on building computers, the ones i saw were extremely old and not of much help.

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13GHz LGA775

Mobo Asustek P5B Deluxe Intel P965 WiFi-AP ATX

GPU Asustek EXTREME N7600GT/2DHT/ 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E

RAM GeIL 2GB Kit DDR2-800 PC2 6400) Retail 2x1GB

HD Seagate BARRACUDA 7200.10 250GB ATA100 3.5LP 16MB 7200rpm

SO is it okay???

I can go with that build or for the same price get this build

CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 3800+ 2.0GHz Socket 939

Mobo Asustek A8N-SLI Premium

GPU XFX PV-T71G-UQF3 Geforce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E Extreme Edition

RAM Corsair ValueSelect VS2GBKIT400C3 DDR400 2048Mb 2x1024Mb Dual Channel CAS 3.0

HD Seagate BARRACUDA 7200.10 250GB ATA100 3.5LP 16MB 7200rpm

I will NOT be overclocking..i dont know how and i dont like voided warranties.....please take this into consideration......from what i can gather the conroe has a slight advantage over the 3800+....isnt it better to get the 3800 and the 7900???

also take into account that i will be gaming at 1024x1280...max res my lcd takes.......

Thank you...looking forward to your reply..
