I have around 350 dollars. I already am getting a tuniq...

I need a video card. I have a crappy 15" 1024x768 monitor, but sometimes I hook it up to my HDTV, and play whatever res. I was thinking 8800gts 512. What do you guys say?

Erm... Get a new screen first? I mean, better to play old games on a stunning screen (for now), than new games on 15" "crappy". IMO.

get a good 19'' Widescreen for like $160 and then get the GTS

ehh its usually more enjoyable to play games with widescreen and large monitor

Yeah, you aren't gonna enjoy that card with a 15" monitor. Either:

1.) Get 3870 and keep the monitor

2.) Get GT 512 and get 20" monitor. (IMO)

At 1024x768 you will not notice the difference between the GT and 3870.

My dad said he MIGHT get me a monitor in a few months. I could just game on my HDTV...
