I am building a new gaming computer, and I am almost done purchasing all the parts. However, I am currently deciding what monitor to buy to compliment it. I want something 21"+ with 1080p. The two I was looking at are:

Newegg.com - ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 20000:1) Built in Speakers
and
Newegg.com - ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 (1000:1) Built-in Speakers

One is a little bigger at 23.6 vs. 24, but is there anything that stands out between these two? There is about a $40 difference.

Thanks.

Why don't you just buy a tv?

You will save a bunch!

they have a 32" 120hz 1080 at walmart & at sames. for like 350.

I bet you could find a 25" for under 200$ @ walmart or sams.

or you can get a 42" for 120hz 1080, for around 450.

How is a TV for $350 'saving him a bunch', especially when he asked for a monitor for ~$200. And don't get me started on the $450 suggestion.

To the OP: Out of those two, I would get the cheaper one as there isn't really any difference between them. I also recommend you look into Samsung monitors too - I'm only saying that because I love mine :)

Edit: This is mine, btw http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001378&Tpk=samsung%20p2450h - it's a bit pricier and I can't guarantee it'll be any better than either ASUS since I haven't used either. Just thought I'd throw it out there :p Keep in mind, no speakers.

Alright thanks guys. I will look into the Samsung ones but the 23.6 sounds good for a little cheaper.
