When i get my new mobo and processor do i have to reformat the computer? Or can i just install them and windows will recognize it?

well can i back up my files so i still have my music and stuff on my hard drive or no?

Its not a really big deal if i have to reformat. I have everything to do it i was just wondering. Thanks for input.

no if you do a repair install. With a reformat you cant go wrong, it will speed your computer back up starting from sratch. Even if your not putting new stuff inside.

Ok, thats what i thought you meant but i wasnt for sure. Ya id rather do it where i dont mess anything up and dont have to worry about repairs or whatever.

umm i don't know where u are getting this "repair installs will run into problems 90% of the time" idea from but i have done it on 2 computers and i have had no problems. I don't know why Microsoft would put that feature in there if it just ruins your computer. try the repair install and if it works than ok, if it doesnt u can always reformat :)
