Default New HDD; How To Copy?

I recently bought a WD Caviar Black 1TB to replace my secondary HDD which doesn't have windows **** on it. Is there a way to move the files from the old HDD to my new one and avoiding a reformat? Or will there be too many extension / registry issues?

Are you just moving data or do you have programs installed on the disk as well?

I used Acronis to clone my old hard drive to my new one and it worked great. There is a 15 day trial that should be fine for what you need.
