Default New HD

Hi guys, I'm hoping to get a new hard drive soon to replace my current 500GB hard drive (looking for 1TB). Should I go to Best Buy, or can someone give me a link to the best hard drive that fits my computer.

Also, can someone give me a full explanation of an external hard drive?

Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

an external hard drive is a hard drive in an enclosure that connects to your computer via usb, firewire or esata.

Thanks! I'll try to save up for that.

Are external hard drives cheaper? If they are, please give me a link to a good one.

well no because they are just internal drives put inside a hdd enclosure. You can actually buy the encolsure yourself and that way you can choose the best hard drive. Hef already said this.
