I think they did that for the person who has a big monitor in a media center pc. Arent the 8800 series lacking in dvd playback WHen compared to the 8600? At least the old ones are.

I'm from Auz to.

Grab something like a HD 3580 (around $250) or maybe a 8600GTS for a little less.

These prices are based around where i live (Perth)

Edit: The x1950pro is also around same price ($220)

I'm afraid I most definitely cannot afford the 8800GT and such .

At best i'm trying to stretch to buy a 8600GTS, it seems to be quite an improvement on the GT. Only thing is the place I buy from is out of stock on the one I want .. damnit. nothing is ever easy.
