Default New graphics card.

Hey all, My old x800gto recently went out, and now I'm in need of a new graphics card. I was thinking either a 7600gt or another x800gto. Which would perform better in games like half-life 2 and CoD2? Also, how much would I be able to overclock the 7600gt in comparison to the x800gto?

I'm open to other suggestions as well, just keep in mind I have an AGP system, so it's kind of limited in what I can get.

Cheers.

agp god man I recommend you save as much money as possible for a whole new system just because agp is nearly obsolete so its actually more expensive to buy the same card as an old technology then there pci-express counterparts.

I have no idea how well agp ATi cards perform. So I am just going to tell you to go with the 7600gt.

I also suggest upgrading to a PCI-E system.

What socket is your CPU.

I don't know about a new computer, but if I were to get a new Motherboard, Processor, and a graphics card, maybe about $400.

7600GT is faster but not much faster

Another advantage that 7600GT have is SM3.0, there are few games like BioShock and Medal of Honor Airborne that don't run on SM2.0 video card like X800
