Default New gaming computer, need input.

Hello everyone.

I'm fairly new to the whole building a computer thing, although I have done my homework (or so I think). Here's what I've come up with. My budget is around 900 dollars tops. I'm looking for a computer that can run both games, and store my small music collection. I won't be overclocking, or any of that fun stuff. Please, be brutal. Let me know what I need to change, or how to get a better bang for my buck. Most of all, someone mind double checking how compatable everything is? I don't need a mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers, or anything like that.

Mobo: DFI LANPARTY DK P35-T2RS LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard [N]

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe 2.33GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor [N]

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive [N]

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory [N]

Video Card: POWERCOLOR AX4850 512MD3-H Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card, [N]

Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick [N]

Cooling: ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler [N]

Have at it guys, and thanks in advance.

you havn't included a video card

the new 4850 ATI cards are great bang for your dollar or you could go for the 9800gtx, both about the same no matter what most people say

Aye, looks like I missed that part while copying >.>. I was looking at the POWERCOLOR AX4850 512MD3-H Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card, [N]

I'll edit into my post on top as well. Thanks.

Ahh, neither do I have enough posts to post in B/S/T, so if you mind just tossing me a PM with an e-mail or something of the sort at which I could contact you, it would be great. Thanks.

Any more feedback on the set-up would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

That cpu is a little out of date. The new E7200 is cheaper and faster.

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors

Also the Crucial Ballistix Tracers switched to single sided so they are no longer recommended.

Newegg.com - WINTEC AMPX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

If you don't need modular cables the Corsair 550vx is cheaper and still will provide plenty of power for your system.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 Power Supply 90 - 264 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick - Power Supplies
