I'm thinking of getting a gaming computer. Problem is, I'm unsure of whether to upgrade my current one, or just buy a complete new one. So I wanted to ask for some opinions.

You can take a look at:
NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.
TigerDirect.ca- Computers, Computer Parts, Computer Accessories, PC Components & Electronics
Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

What kind of budget are you looking at spending? It will give us a better idea on what components you're able to get. Also, do you need other things like the operating system, mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc?

I need an OS, but no keyboard/mouse/monitor.

I don't know much about parts, so I just prefer to get everything already assembled and ready to go.

Budget is a few hundred dollars. I don't need top of the line or anything. If it can run 2007 games like Bioshock (run well of course), then I'm happy :p

Here's a few deals I found. I'm looking whether I'm getting a good deal or not.

$300
"Amazing condition. NO problems
2GB ram
512MB Geoforce 8400 graphics
3.06 GHZ 2CPU pentium 4
Zalman cpu fan (with blue LED glow) the fan is very quiet, and has an external dial to up the speed) retails for 59.99 a few months old
ACER 17" flat panel display
6 USB ports
Lightscribe drive
Great looking case with a carbon fiber look to it
This computer plays crysis on low spec with absolute ease so most other games should be fine on mid spec.
It also comes with:
Black keyboard
Black mouse
Wifi adaptor for wireless internet
adaptor to use wireless Microsoft accessories for gaming retail for around $30
Crysis Maximum edition with 3 crysis games 49.99 in stores
the soundcard is sound blaster audigy 2 i think"

$700
Cooler Master RC-690 Case
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 at 2.5 ghz (Thats 4 Processors running at 2.5ghz)
Intel DG33TL Motherboard
ATI Radeon 4600 Series Graphics Card (1 gb of ram)
2 Gigs of Motherboard Ram
Two (2) 500 Gb Harddrive - Use one for Operating System and one for files
500 Watt Power Supply
Sony DVD Burner
Also will include a U.S. Robotics Wireless MAXg USB Card and Puretrack Talent Precision Gaming Mousepad (The best on the market)

I'd try to pull out of that deal if i were you. Way too out dated, its about as old as yours. The 8400 video card will good for old games like cs:source, but i wouldn't even try to run new games with it.

Really? Is is just the graphics card that's outdated or the whole computer?
