I mainly am building this PC for gaming. Not extreme games, just games like CS: Source

The rest of the PC is ez enough to build... just wondering what you guys think about the 4 items I listed and how compatible with each other they are... Thanks!

Also, my budget for the four items is CAD$1000 so if you see anything better on the site I may want to get please let me know... Thanks in advance.

one has onboard vid, the other has a comm port. Almost identical...

Looks pretty good to me.

All i can reccomend is taking a look at all the different types of ram they have. (Brand Vise) It is all personal preference really.

Yea I edited my port, I googled the two boards and found out that the 965g had the onboard video while the 965p does not, although the 965p also overclocks better so i hear...

I guess Ill stick with the 965p because ncix.com does not have the 965g in stock.


Also I was still looking through my build again and wondering whether the ram is the best choice or not... I dont want genaric ram... I do want 2gb though... is there a big difference between DDR2 667 PC5400 vs DDR2 800 PC6400?


Edit: I don't think I am going to go with the OCZ ram... I've been reading up and apparently they are rated at 2.0 volts but there really 2.1v and the ds3 boards wont accept that right away until you get the new bios..
