The R600 will be here I think in March. As for cost, i've heard everything from same as 8800's to more than 8800's. It is so close now you might as well wait. If they are significantly better, the price of the 8800's will drop I would assume to keep them attractive to buyers. Also, lower versions of both the 8800's and the R600 should be out soon which will provide more options. I bought them because I needed to sell my old 7900gt's before DX10 cards became big and pushed their prices down. So I just went ahead and got the 8800's. But as I said, it so close now, I would wait to see how things shake out. One thing is for sure....ATI seems to be winning the driver war and their card isn't even out yet. I seem to remember back when nVidia was better with drivers. Hope this trend does not continue.
