Also, I don't see how an honest recommendation of a product can be considered "man-love"?

Finally, don't be sexist, I'm sure there are women who love the cooler as well.

They both look exactly the same. They both have the same performace (according to that one bs review.) The cheapest wins.

the vendetta 2 is basically the good xigmatek one. if you look at it there are some very subtile design changes... as in they axed the corners from the heatsink part..

I doubt that small change in quality between the two would make any difference in temperatures... it didn't in their research.
