At the same clock speed the Q9450 will be 5-10% faster than the q6600.

Ya thats true they consist of mostly High VID G0 revisions, and most of them are complaining to me about it when they can't get to 3.2ghz+.... (I'm pretty sure its more like 5-7% faster clock per clock)

I think since he had such a large budget in the first place he probably can afford a board that can do a good, High FSB.

yeah the q6600 will do u fine, the 9450 is overpriced. if it didnt have a lower multiplier then it would be great to get.
