it should go to 3.0 fairly easy.

If not 2.8 is fine (I'm pretty sure on stock cooling they can get 3.0 and with something a bit better maybe 3.3 max)

the e2180 can do 3.2 on stock with good ram and the right settings. and you should be able to hit 3 no problem.

ok cool then but only thing is when i get the stuff could u guys help me with overclocking it becuase i dont know how to do it and if i ask my dad he'll say its gunna over heat and melt or w/e so ya.....lol it kinda sucks i dont know that much stuff about how to do half the stuff on computer but im tring to get better :P but my dad has a AMD sampron 3400+ 1.8ghz, and has 1gig of ram with vista. idk which prosscer would be better but if he can get to 3.0ghz then i can

thats the stuff i think i should get its a total of 536.00$ and with rebates 456.00$. i had to get differnt ram for less becuase the 60$ kind were to much it would go over 535$ so ya, u guys think this is good

i would reccomend against a-data ram, you can get 2gb crucial ram for 39.99.

ok cool um i found were the memory is but if the ram doesnt have heatsinks that does that mean the other kind is better or it doesnt matter?

It would matter if the airflow in your case is not enough, or if you plan on overclocking. But here's a kit with heatspreaders, and it's not expensive at all:
