New computer build - opinions wanted

get at least 3gb if your going to run vista. 2gb should be fine for xp. that mobo is good. and a e8500 is exactly half of the q9550 it is at a faster clock speed than the quad. the e8500 core for core clock for clock is faster thanall most amd phenoms i think. so it is a very good processor.

But i think i might get the e8400 instead of the 5 cause it only gives you .16ghz for 20 more dollars that i could use to get a heatsink fan. And I think i'll just stick with the p5n-d. Ill just get 2 gigs ram then since i'll be running xp.

the e8400 is the exact same cpu excecpt clocked a tad lower. both are great. that's a good choice. good thinking.

since your going with a sli board then a 9800gt is a fine choice.
