New computer blue screens

I just put together a new computer (not mines)

Q6600
4gb ddr2 800 corsair ram
250gb sata2 hdd
bfg 8800gts 320mb
asus extreme striker mobo
lightscribe dvd burner
corsair hx620 psu

I tried to install 64bit version of windows vista on it, the computer had a 150gb raptor hard drive in it, but vista could not recognize it. So i swapped out the drive with a regular 7200rpm 250gb western digital drive and i was able to install windows vista 64bit on it but it blue screens right after the windows vista loading bar. Why does it do this?

i think vista has issues if u install it with 4GB, try installing it with 2, and put in the other 2 after its installed
