case is a thermaltake armor or something ... full tower... expensive as **** but i already have it so it's cost isn't a problem.
Not worried about the money, unlike the rest of America, I don't have any debt... until now Plus my birthday is near Christmas so i get a double whammy there
Most interested in what parts you might switch out for about the same or lesser dollar value without sacrificing performance .
I buy mostly from newegg and i'll be building this over the next few months, hope to have it running Jan. next year so i can wait for parts and such with no hurry.
I have $1000 saved so far, with a about $300 from b-day and x-mas cash coming in. the rest is going on the credit card so i am flexible with how much i can spend upto about $2500. No need for monitors, mice, sound or any of that.
My main concern is future proofing. I hear the X58 can use the i9 cpu so i think i am good there. The i7960 is a new release so i am not to sure if its the best buy...
RAM i should be ok with ... can always go upto 12GB if needed.
With the EVGA X58 SLI Classified X58 MOBO and a CoolerMaster V8 on the cpu ... Crossfire shouldn'y be a problem to do in a year or two right?
Thats all i got for now... My next 3 years of gaming and work now rest in your hands
