It works if you do it right, and using a heat gun is much more practical than using an oven. I have done it to the motherboard of my PS3 and it worked and still works. I mean when all else fails what else you got to loose. if your keened on doing it, ill throw you a nice tutorial.

Huh. Wouldn't a soldering iron work better, then? An oven just seems so... crude. Well, it's great that it worked. You're still getting a new card, right?

Lol, yea I already ordered the new card. I guess I could send it back, but I don't want too I actually had to put it in the oven a second time, wasn't hot enough the first time I guess. Like I said I was just gonna toss the old card, I just wanted to see if the oven would actually fix it.
