I'd like some of the guru's here to review my list of hardware for a new system build. The build will be used to run games, ut2004, Microsoft XP PRO, Linux (ie dual boot). And will be networked with 2 networking cards. I'll be performing some mild overclocking.

My main concerns are video card, case/ps and memory. I think everything else should be ok....
Thanks,
Ken

I would try to get a antec Case with an Antec Power supply if you must get the combo. Rosewell Power supplies aren't so good. and your gonna want a good power supply for those parts right?

But If u have a budget, I can find the right Power supply for you.

get any case, with a much better psu

get a much better video card  get a 7800GT or GTX

everythign else loooks good

OK,
How about a recomendation on a psu and case...
And why the 7800gt (i read just minutes ago that the gt can be unlocked) Any particular brand or model that is better?

Hmm, could I get away with ddr 500 (pc4000) instead? What is the benefit with this vs what the MotherBoard spec calls for ddr 400/pc 3200 ???

Thanks,
Ken

yes, jst get DDR400 lol, why do you need higher rated ram

the only reason to get DDR500 is to OC, but most ram with TCCD chips, or some other chips can OC to DDR600 speeds, so why spend more money on a useless thing really. DDr500 oonly insures you can get 250fsb

Thanks for the ram suggestion, that will save me some $$$

What about the video card, I'd like to get the price down some, so thought maybe the 6800gt would be a bit better, plus its known to be linux compatible. (im currently running a radeon, 9600xt on an amd 2800 system)....
