Here's a new build I'm about to pull the trigger on. I'd appreciate any feedback or alternate recommendations. This is my third build on a 4 year cycle and this forum has always been a great help. Thanks in advance!

PS - I'm not into overclocking. Just looking to run some newer games maxed at 1920x1080 (Rome 2, B3, Skyrim, etc).

Yeah my max budget is about $1000. The total for all those new parts is about $850. If I were to change my mind about overclocking I'd consider the 4670k. Anything else I should look at for overclocking if I decide to go that route?

Seems like you're spending extra bucks for some proprietary software and an over glorified NIC.

If you think you will overclock later and will grab a K CPU now instead, I would go with this board. Pretty much the same features without the extra nonsense marketing crap for 30 less. Otherwise if you aren't going to overclock (you won't need to OC a 4670 for quite some time) then I would go with a cheaper B85 board.

Either way, I would considering the 4GB 760 over all simply because you can and will use the extra VRAM in the very near future (or now if you mod the crap out of Skyrim). Otherwise sound rig choices to me.

Edit: And before you ask about aftermarket cooling (most always do), it's not required until you want to overclock. Absolutely do not overclock on the stock cooler. Unless you already have something, most likely it's fine for everyday use to drop 10-15c depending on what you have.

Thanks for the input. Admittedly it is very unlikely that I will OC.

I'm a little bit of a brand loyalist and I've had MSI mobo's before, so now I'm looking at swapping to these and saving a few bucks thanks to you guys.

EDIT: My hesitation with that mobo is no SLI option later, but I've never ended up doing a mid-cycle upgrade anyway.
