Default New Build Maybe?

Hey guys i have always been fascinated by computers and all of technology really but i am new to how computers work and all that stuff. I been making youtube videos for about 2 years and love it, but my macbook pro isn't cutting it for all that i would like to do. I decided i need a pc and need it to be great for the following: Gaming, Rendering, video editing stuff like that, recording my games, and live streaming. This is what i put together on a website after some research but thought you guys could help me. Tell me whats a waste of money and what needs upgrading. Thank you so much

  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011 (All Venom OC Certified)
  • HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (2TB x 2 (2TB Capacity) Raid 1 High Performance with Data Security [+133])
  • MEMORY: 32GB (8GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Quad Channel Memory [+175] (Corsair Vengeance [+0])
  • MOTHERBOARD: * (4-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support) GIGABYTE X79-UP4 Intel X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ Ultra Durable 5, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 4 Gen3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1 & 1 PCI [+13]
  • SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
  • VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+305] (EVGA Superclocked ACX Cooling)
It came out to 3,500 dollars with the monitors and other extra stuff so yeah

For starters, get a 4770k instead and an ASRock Extreme4 Z87. That will outperform the 3820 without a doubt.

Then, you can drop the 32GB to 16GB. I use Vegas Pro and record 1080p 60FPS in FRAPS and have never exceeded 16GB of usage while gaming or editing.

I would also recommend the 4GB 770 over the 2GB.

Next, you need an SSD. At least 120GB. Corsair Neutron GTX, Samsung 840pro are 2 good starters. I wouldn't spend more than a 1000 bucks on a rig without an SSD.

Finally, absolutely make sure you have a quality PSU. A Corsair HX650, Seasonic G series 650w, Corsair TX650m, would be some really good choices. No, you don't need anymore than that with that setup.

with the money you save on getting a cheaper motherboard and less ram you can bump your graphics card up to a 780.

Mguire likes the Asrock, i like MSI. This board is the same price as the one Mguire suggested, cant go wrong with either!

There is no micro center in your state unfortunately, but this build will do everything you want and leaces you with $1200 for monitors, speakers, mouse and keyboard, plenty.

I went with either the GTX 780 or the AMD 7990... up for you to decide... is the 7990 better than the 780? yes. Are nvidia's drivers better and AMD's? yes..
