New build but no image on screen

Remove your card and reseat it.

If that doesn't help, check the power connector.

It could be that the slot is bad.

What mobo is it? Have you installed the chipset drivers? Possibly could need new BIOS, but I doubt it as the 6800's are older cards.

I think that card might be incompatible w/ that board.

bios is up to date. The slot works because my friends card works in it.
