My cousin is looking to build his first pc. I'm a bit out of date in my hardware knowledge. His primary goal is to be able to play dark souls 3 when it comes out, he isn't necessarily asking to play on ultra either. Any thoughts on this build:

I5-6500 3.2 quad
Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3
G.Skill NT Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133
Sapphire Radeon R9 380 4GB NITRO Dual-X OC
Sandisk Extreme Pro 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
SeaSonic 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular

He was hoping for something a little less expensive than this but I don't know where to cut cost. He picked a $50 case and a 1tb Seagate hdd.

Thanks mguire, glad to see you're still here giving advice with haste. He took your advice on the MB, had already ordered the psu on sale and has chosen to delay purchasing an ssd.
Thanks again!

It will be a pain to transfer Windows over to an SSD later, but it's not impossible. That build will do him pretty well for the level of his expectations. He'll be able to pull off a decent 1080p at medium to high settings, I would think.
