Hey all,

After spending a few hundred dollars fixing little issues that have been popping up over the past year my computer has completely died on me so instead of trying to get it fixed again I've decided to get a new one.
I don't really have an exact budget set but what I'm looking for is something that will last me the next 4-5 years with it being able to play the majority of games (BF4, WoW etc.) on max graphs for the next year and then slowly drop them down if it's required.
Currently my total is $1216 AUD.

My current build is as follows;

What I currently am unsure on is the cooling and power supply that I will need to have as well as a case that will fit all of these. I don't plan to OC at all so I don't think that I will need water cooling.
If you could give me any advice on if this build is good value for money and will meet my needs or if there are any better options I could go it would be appreciated.
Keep in mind that these prices are in AUD as that is where I'm from so if you are going to link me other products can you please try and do it with an Australian site not an American or European one.

Aus prices are ridiculous, but you can drop a few things to get a 970. For instance, no need for the H97, just get an H81 instead or B85. If this is a game box you don't need 16GB of RAM either.

Although pricey in your area, the Enthoo Pro is a ridiculously good case for the money. You could also go a bit cheaper and get something like a Corsair 300r.

For a power supply, getting a quality unit will last you those years. With either Maxwell card a 960 or 970 you don't need more than 520w. This will do.

I will also say that, a single 970 itself will not max games for the next year, or even a couple that are out now even at 1080p. It'll get close. The CPU will last those 5 years with DX12 coming, but you'll want to upgrade the 970 in 2-3 years easy.

Do you think that dual 970's would have the capability to run most games for the time I wanted. I have more money coming in over the next few months so I can add an extra one if required as I would prefer to get the expense out of the while I know I will have the money rather then leave it to the future.

Also, had a look at my motherboard I linked and I couldn't see anything mentioned about SLI compatibility or is that something that has nothing to do with them?

SLI is where you connect two nVidia GPUs together, so yes it has something to do with them xD If your motherboard doesn't support it however, that'll throw a spanner in the works for sure.

Haha yeh I know the the GPU's have to support it, it's the motherboard aspect of it I wasn't to sure as I've never done it on any computer of mine or even looked into it as I haven't needed to.

You'll need a Z97 board that supports sli to do it. I personally don't feel that's the way to go. I would honestly just get a single 970 now and wait until the next gen of gpus next year. The 970 is sufficient for 1080p gaming for most all games at maxed. Only a few games you'll need to turn down aa levels and such.
