But quad xfire/sli just doesn't make sense and is not practical unless your trying to get a larger e-*****. 9600 gt seems to be the most efficient multiple card solutions out there and to date.

So spend $1200 on 2 gpu's to play a single game? This is no diffrent from tri sli with the Ultras...... Well.. maybe a little diffrent, but not enough for quad sli to be worth it.

no, these scale far better than ultra's in tri-sli.. at least in crysis...

I'm not talking about performance wise, i know that the 9800gx2 x2 is better. It's just you still are spending a **** load of a lot for high performance on a single game. 2 9600 GT's in sli just seem like the better buy at the moment.

i might have dual 9800gx2's in the future.. probably giong to be the biggest spend i've ever thought of doing on a computer
