basically i'm still not sure on what RAM or 24'' monitor to purchase...

I like biostar so i'd get the 790gx
i might try n get an AM2+ Heatsink for denab so you don't have to buy another, don't know if it matters or not.

Just because he has an amd rig now doesn't mean he is a fanboy. Ive had 3 amd rigs. Am I a fanboy. Also I could be mistaken. But Deneb doesn't reach its full potential on an AM2+ board right? So if he wants to do Deneb right then he would need an AM3.

Alright, show me some AM3 boards you can buy... that's right you can't, SO it appears he is trying to build a budgeted yet, decent computer right now and intends to upgrade in th future to denab. k thx...
You're obviously not a fanboy, but amd fans tend to stick with amd no matter if intel is winning or not.. we don't know whether he is or not, but he put an amd cpu as what he was going to purchase.

5 other systems at home, all have met my expectations, all have been 100% reliable.
why would i switch?
just so i can say i get sub 20 pi times?

i do believe the only thing that has been determined (since AMD isn't talking much) is that in order for deneb to have DDR3 support, it will need a AM3 board.

yeah.. that's what makes the am3 not worth buying, because you will need to buy new ram.. So get the Am2+, and save yourself 400-500$ from buying the new mb and ram that's what I would do, but zmatt is an intel enthusiast.
