New build.

Was just posting to figure out what I could get for my current system price wise, because I'm considering a rebuild amazingly its only about $500 max and thats parted out. whats in it now is

150 GB Samsung HD
Radeon X850 pro (PCI-e)
1gb Samsung RAM
Sound blaster 24bit
Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz Dual core

I was wondering if it would be worth it to sell everything in it but the processor (Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz dual core) and the video card (ATI x850 PCI-e) and buy a bare bones from newegg and use these parts in it. Or would I just end up downgrading myself in doing this. I was thinking of just riding this system until it dies but then I'm stuck buying something 100% new and I take a complete loss on this one.

I dunno about everyone else, but for a 500 or less budget I'd just get a pre-built

with prices like these, maybe just slap on a budget vid card for another 100
