SLI with the 8800 GT's arent worth it yet, ATI's HD3870 x2's in crossfire do better.

agreed Crossfire FTW, but there are games that SLI 8800gt's do better in, but 2 hd3870's are cheaper than 2 8800gt's, and the overall FPS doesn't matter as long as its playable (to me anyways)

8800GT are selling at very cheap price these days

You can get it for $229 from newegg, $219 from Micro center and $188 after MIR from ncixus

http://www.ncixus.com/products/27328...;20Technology/
Micro Center Online - the center of .computer shopping
Newegg.com - ZOTAC ZT-88TES3P-FSP GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Newegg.com - XFX PVT88PYHF4 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

So, HD3870 is not always cheaper.

the 680i had alot of bugs and holes, and IMO the 790i isnt any better.
