Well my comp so far has been good but with the new games coming out i want to be able to play on high with out any lag. I want to go cheap since im on a budget. I have thought of this:

X2 3600 brisbane
Tforce 550
Case??
Should i add another gig or ram or no? I have 1 gig.
Should i buy the 8800gts 320mb or keep my 7600gt for a while?

About 500 bucks is my limit.

I'm no expert but if you get the 8800GTS 320mb i don't think you will be able to stay under 500 dollars

But me, if your able try to get 2 gigs of ram and if your able to, just upgrade the CPU to a Pentium or Core 2 Duo and stick with your 7600GT

So your saying just stick with my Pentium D 2.66 for now. Then later on go to C2D. I totally forgot that my processor could fit in a C2D ready mobo lol duh. I added 2 gig kit of ballistix ram and its 544 bucks i can handle that probably. Will my Pentium D bottleneck anything?

pentium ds arent the best at gaming but it will hold you over for a while till you can afford a core 2
you can also overclock it a good bit to help it from bottlenecking too much

O ok well so far its been pretty good, there hasnt been one game i cant play.

If your computer fits Core 2 Duo then get either of these processors if you plan to upgrade
