Extreme edition processors are so expensive

You can get Q6700 for half the price of QX6700
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz 1066MHz FSB Socket 775 8MB L2 Cache (2 x 4MB (4MB per core pair)) Retail Boxed Processor

And for half the price of Q6700 you can get Q6600
Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad CPU - Cheap at Ebuyer!

If you have that kind of money to blow, go for it. But even with the cash there are a couple of areas with room for improvement:

1. Take a look at the latest P35 motherboards. They outperform what you are picking in almost every category.

2. Go for a better cpu cooler. The Tuniq Tower is rated a very close #2 for top air cooling. The Tuniq however, is a lot easier to work with and has a built in fan, where the number #1 cooler requires a seperate fan and is cumbersome to work with.

if you really want to make a beast, those are two things which will greatly improve what you've started.
