DAAMIT's decision to fire the opening shot on high GFX prices is most welcome, even if the 2900 is not as spectacular as many hoped.

$400 for a top end card? Can't argue with that.

i just ordered a new xfx 8800gtx for $500 new of ebay. Please tell me i havent wasted my money and should've wated for the 2900xtx...

No you didn't waste your money

8800gtx > HD2900XT

HD2900XT also consumes a lot of power and produce a lot of noise

And the cheapest HD2900XT on newegg is $420 not $400

No it's not....AMD/ATI has even made a public statement that it's due to the hardware.

IMO..this card sucks....there are very few "shader based" games out which is only when this card shines.

yeah, in awhile when there are more shader-based games the x2900xt will be quite good for the money...however with current titles it's definitely a very bad card for the money....a x1950xt is much better. With AA enabled performance is pretty disgusting to be honest.

Also image quality is terrible! So very blurry

so which is more pricey 8800 gtx ko acs3 or hd 2900 xt (i would newegg it but acs3 ko's aren't there at newegg [did u know they outperform 8800 ultra?])
