New 8600 card, need help fast plz

Alright, so me and my bro got some new 8600 pci-e video cards for christmas

When trying to install it into my bro's pc, we have encoutered a problem and do not know if his motherboard would support this new video card

he has a A7N8X-X video card (old I know) and we dont have the money to upgrade so please don't suggest tht. I know my pc will work but im wondering if his motherboard will support the card, and it looks as though there are PCI slots in on the motherboard. The card is:

EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS PCI-E
512mb DDR3

PCI and PCI-e aren't backwards compatible..

I'm pretty sure A7N8X-X has only AGP Ports..

I'm right, its Socket A, which supports AGP only.. no PCI-e

SO Im guessing that this video card wouldnt work in this motherboard?

it will NOT work unless you have a PCIE port. PCIE is backward and forward compatible among PCIE 1.0 to 3.0 only, not to normal PCI slots or AGB.
