Is the $3000 just for the computer by itself or with the peripherals as well [monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, etc]??

Power Supply: OCZ GamerXtreme 700w

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700

RAM: Corsair XMS2 EPP RAM

Floppy Drive: Samsung 3.5" floppy drive

Hard Drive: Seagate 320GB hard drive

Keyboard: Sailtek black illuminated keyboard

I would suggest waiting until the NVidia 8000 series comes out instead of quad-SLI, and for Vista to come out too.

Message: You could wait on building the entire system for Windows Vista and DX10 compatible cards, especially considering you are putting such a large investment in your computer. Supposedly, MS will allow a new form of DX 9 to play DX10 games, but I highly doubt that you will be able to use the new graphical features that DX10 is bringing.

ATI - R600 <<<<<< The DX10 compatible lines coming out in
nVidia - G80 <<<<<< the next few months [no specifics yet].

i dont need speakers or a sound card, already have both, i will need a monitor, mouse, and keyboard

i looked at the different setups that you guys prepared for me, thanks alot btw, i liked the x6800, the p5n32-sli premium i liked because of the option of future sli but i dont want to do it yet because i want to wait for the g80 and get a less expensive card for now. i also have xp already so i wont need that either. can you revise your setups to that input? thx alot

well if you have three grand.... get a 7950gt(or gtx soon), and wait till febuary to get a 8800gtx for like $650(people ther eis no game you need a gx2 for!)

maybe a full tower case like the gigabyte aurora i think its called

i would seriously consider a 32inch dell monitor and less parts liek uneccasary watercooling, and graphics, id keep the x6800 just cause it ownz

spartan did make a good list though

Also, just my opinion, but I dont think any processor is worth $1000 but w/e, you have the means to get it. I would personally recomment the E6600 as the best performance/price CPU.
