On advice from multiple forums, I purchased a Foxconn G43MX- K motherboard to replace a PC Chips P53G for "CPU Incompatibility". I installed the parts (Seagate 7200.11 SATA Hard Drive- 640 GB, 2 GB Patriot RAM (DDR2- 667 MHz), LG SuperMulti SATA Drive, Intel Core2 Duo E7200 Processor (LGA 775, 1066 MHZ FSB, 2.53 GHz, 45nm), a FireWire card, and a V.92 Zonet PCI modem), and when I pressed the power button, the fans turned as they should. When I first plugged in the power cable, all three keyboard lights flashed. Then, nothing happened. The fans turned, just like everything else, and my screen showed no signal, with an amber power light. I think that I have a dead processor, but am not sure. Any ideas?
