Default need upgrade

hey guys i am looking to upgrade from my current parts, so i was wondering what i should get, i have about 1600 aus or 642 pounds to work with, my current specs are:-

-CPU: AMD AthlonXP 3200+

-MOBO: Albatron KM18G Pro

-GPU: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS

basicly i need all those parts replaced and a new hdd(sata), and xp home. we dont get all the same parts over here. hope to hear from you guys soon.

well i can start, but since ur amd64 can be either am2 or 775 we can't really no what to upgrade cuz if we upgrade if ight not fit, but ur gpu upgrade can wait til like march to an 8600 ultra and u can ditch amd for intel, maybe a core 2 duo e6300 or e4300 combined with either a biostar tforce 965pt or gigabyte ga-965-ds3 or ga-965-s3 and u got some real good performance!

oh ya if ur still in love with AMD get an fx-60 or higher, amd x2 3700 or higher and find ur self an amd board cuz i got no skill in them

save 40$ with the e6300, cuz u can oc it to match e6400

did u decide btw biostar and gigabyte mobo?

only one i could find australia was a asus p5b-vm which i hope is alright
