Ugh...

Get a q9550, same mobo as zmatt, and a Corsair 750TX, for the same price as a 650TX...

There is a lot that can be done to improve that. The Q6700 is going to be discontinued and is at the end of its life, get the Q9550 instead. The 780i is a waste of cash. Generally speaking the Nvidia boards are of lower quality right now than Intel boards. Go with the Biostar I45 or the Gigabyte p45, they are both champs at overclocking.

The 9800GTX is kinda dated, I would either get a GTX260 core 216 or a Radeon 4870.

Your psu splits the amps over 2 rails and can possibly give you power sag. Go for a Corsair 550vx or a 650tx. They are quality psu's and have ample power

And don't listen to 1337 JohnN. He has already been warned about hijacking threads and advertising his own threads and he doesn't want to listen. If you need clarification on any info feel free to ask any of the veteran members. We also have several Tutorial Threads that are dedicated to answering a lot of your questions.

**READ FIRST** Hardware Stickies Index

This should answer most of your questions. Ignore the recommended parts thread however. We are in the process of writing a new and updated one.

Tech-Forums Recommended PC Components v2.0

It is a work in progress but it has the most up to date info. Puddle Jumper went ahead and already wrote the mainstream section so any questions about parts that you may have should be answered.

you could just go for a normal p5q/i45 to save a little cash, the extreme versions just have a whole lot more features you dont really need. but it does have great chipset cooling.

DO NOT get that patriot ram, the extreme series is some of the worst ram ive ever seen, you cant even change it up 10 mhz without it being unstable, no matter what voltage u apply to it. there is really no good ram on tigerdirect at all, althought if u leave the patriot at stock speeds i guess you will be ok, other xms2 would be the next best choice, which is ver very overly priced on tiger.

also i think the ocz vendetta would be a better chioce of cpu cooler limited to tigerdirect. cant u go newegg?

Well someone pointed out www. overclocking.co.uk to me, and it seems perfect for me

These are hopefully the last questions:happy:
OK.....should i go for the 4870, instead of the 4850 video card, because i was told its better to go for the 4870, not only because of performance but for the future, easier to upgrade or something :S but its a LOT more money. .....also...
Should i buy cooling? if so.. which one would u recommend from Overclockers UK The price is getting a bit high for me, if there is something not needed in this setup, plz let me know so i can save some money, and maybe put it towards something more usefull to me......i dont *overclock* or anything like that tbh

Sorry for the flood of questions, i just want the best for my money ^^
Thanks in advance
