Need some kind of

A few months ago I installed a 12cm fan at the front of my old computer. I rigured I could run it as a server but I needed some extra cooling to do that. What I did not realize is that the fan would not fit perfectly inside that slot. Here is a picture of the situation:

I need some thing to fill in that gap! What could I use?

That picture reminds me of those games where someone takes a really unusual picture of something, either really zoomed in or just a strange angle and other people have to guess what it is. I can't think why there would be a gap if you screwed a 120mm fan onto a 120mm fan mount.

It is an old pentium 4 computer I had for years and a brand new fan. I guess some things have changed. It may sound odd but that is why I took the picture. You can clearly see a gap and it annoys me. Is not there some kind of material/substance that I could apply there?
