Whats the difference between 5900 and 7200 if 5900 are capable of 7200 speeds?
"relatively" the same, the 7200 rpm drives will usually have lower average access/seek time and better minimum read/write speeds.

as long as you are comparing 2 modern drives, not like a 80GB 7200rpm drive to a 2TB 5900 rpm drive.

Yea comparing modern 1TB 7200 Seagate to a 2TB Seagate 5900 doing large file transfers they are practically the same speed. I was very hesitant at getting the slower speed but I'm glad I did.

Hey sorry about the late response, I changed my HDD to 2TB Seagate and put a aftermarket CPU Cooler on my list also. The only thing im worried about is if my Cooler will fit.

Thank you so much for helping me everyone! I switched it to the one you suggested, and I think I now have everything I need.
